STIMULATE project “Sustainable E² Mobility Services for Elderly People”

Project information: The project STIMULATE is a part of The Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programme that is a joint research and development funding programme implemented by 20 European Member States and 3 Associated States. The programme receives a substantial financial support – based on article 169 of the EC treaty – from the European Commission.

STIMULATE is a 2-year project, started in September 2011. It has a total budget of 1.7 million Euros, of which 1 million Euros is provided by the AAL Joint Programme.

The objective of the AAL Joint Programme is to enhance the quality of life of older people and strengthen the industrial base in Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). More information about the joint programme is available from here.

The RBS-Research Unit (cellule de recherche) was involved – as collaboration partner of CRP Henri Tudor – in the implementation and evaluation of the pilot tests (Cévennes, Malta) of the Stimulate platform.
